What’s Happening
The Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is seeking community feedback on a draft master plan for the Black Gully Linear Corridor Park and Captain Cook Recreation Reserve.
Additionally, a proposal is being considered to designate an extra dog off-leash area in Black Gully Linear Corridor Park.
Why It Matters
The plan aims to enhance recreational spaces in Newtown and Wilsonton, creating more inclusive environments for residents.
Adding features like improved playgrounds and picnic areas will make these parks better suited for the community's enjoyment.
Local Impact
If approved, these upgrades will enhance public spaces, offering new amenities for families and pets alike.
The dog off-leash area will create more options for pet owners to safely socialise their dogs.
What To Look For Next
Expect final plans to be revealed later this year, incorporating community input.
Future upgrades will depend on the availability of capital funding.
